Whatyoullbe doing

As an Editing/Animation Instructor you will teach and support students as they build skills for careers in film and will create engaging hands-on learning experiences in editing animation graphic design and post-production while helping studentsgrowconfidence creativity and job readiness.

In this role you will:

  • Teach editing animation graphic design and other post-production skills through hands-on industry-informed instruction.

  • Create engaging lesson plans and learning activities that support student growth skill development and career readiness.

  • Support students with coaching feedback and encouragement tailored to their strengths goals and learning styles.

  • Help lead post-production work for studio projects including editing color correction graphics exporting and related deliverables.

  • Partner with team members to support student progress employment opportunities and successful participation in studio and community-based experiences.

  • Maintain a safe organized and supportive learning environment.

  • Support program documentation equipment oversight and other responsibilities that help the studio run smoothly.

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Bachelorsdegree preferred

Experience

  • Three or more years of experience in digital film media production or post-production.

  • Experience producing coordinating or directing film video or multimedia projects.

  • Strong understanding of pre-production production and post-production workflows.

  • Experience with production equipment editing tools and digital media platforms.

  • Experience teaching coaching or supporting others in building new skills.

  • Strong organizational communication and time management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects stay organized and meet deadlines.

  • Comfort using Microsoft Office and other basic workplace technology.

Preferred

  • Experience working with adults with disabilities in education human services or a related field.

  • Experience with web-based content management systems video optimization or digital archiving.

  • Experience with budgeting location scouting script supervising assistant directing or other production leadership responsibilities.

  • A portfolio demo reel or other samples of relevant film and media work.

OtherRequirements

  • 21 years of age or older

  • A valid drivers license reliable transportation and an acceptable driving record arerequiredfor this role.

  • This role requires travel within the region where services are provided.

  • Final candidates must successfully complete a background check.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

This position requires the employee to regularly stand walk sittalkandhear. The employee must be capable of writing using a computer keyboardtelephoneand related office equipment. Ability to lift 10lbs. required.
