Doyle Security Services (DSS) is currently looking for UNARMED SECURITY OFFICERS for a School in Queens NY.

Locations & Shifts:

Flushing: Monday-Thursday 0630-1330 & Friday 0630-1430 Payrate: $18.87

Flushing: Monday-Thursday 0630-1330 & Friday 0630-1430 Payrate: $18.87

Flushing: Monday-Thursday 1330-2000 Payrate: $18.87

Flushing: Monday-Thursday 1330-2000 Payrate: $18.87

Flushing: Monday - Thursday 1100-1730 & Friday 0700-1500 Payrate: $18.87

UNARMED SECURITY OFFICER JOB DUTIES:

• Provide a safe secure environment for students staff and guests inside the school.
• Establish and maintain good rapport with parents students staff and community members.
• Prior School experience preferred.
• Ensure safety and efficient reporting:
• Monitor hallways stairwells toilet facilities outside facilities and other public and unsupervised places of the school to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff and the security of the facility.
• Assist with fire drills crises and other emergency building evacuations and situations.
• Assist administrators and staff in crisis and emergency situations.
• Ensure a smooth traffic flow of students through the hallways assisting students with on-time arrival to class and to assigned locations.
• Supervise and direct student movement during arrival and dismissal.
• Update security records logs and reports.
• Ensure all doors and gates are locked and that all alarms are engaged at designated times.
• Assist staff and emergency personnel in handling emergencies and deescalating disruptive situations that may arise on campus.
• Assist in daily operational duties as needed.

SECURITY OFFICER / UNARMED GUARD / SECURITY GUARD REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid NYS Security Guard License.
• Valid Drivers License is required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• High School Diploma / GED required.
• 5-7 Year U.S. work history may be required.
• Must be able to understand the English language and communicate effectively in both the verbal and written form.
• Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position.
