OPS Cell Biology Lab Technician

Bachelors degree in biology or a related discipline

Our lab investigates the mechanisms underlying membranetrafficking eventsincluding endocytosis and autophagyusing stateoftheart techniques such as human inducedpluripotentstem cells genome editing and fluorescent livecell imaging. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing projects which may involve:

• Maintaining expanding and qualitycontrolling cell lines
• Optimizing celldifferentiation and genomeediting protocols
• Performing DNA/RNA purification cloning and PCR

In addition the technician will assist with daytoday operations (e.g. preparing buffers autoclaving media and handling biomedical waste). Training will be provided on site; prior experience with mammalian cell culture is a strong plus.

$2022per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience (0.8FTE 32hours/week).

• Bachelors degree (or higher) in biology or a related field
• Minimum of 12months of laboratory experience preferably in cellbiology research
• Selfmotivated hardworking responsible resilient and capable of solving problems independently

• Experience with mammalian cell culture
• Experience with CRISPRmediated genome editing
