Are you calm under pressure and motivated to make a real difference where it matters most An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Lewisham Councils Resilience Team. A high profile corporate team responsible for emergency planning and business continuity.

Whats the role

As our Lead Business Continuity and Resilience Officer youll play a pivotal role in delivering and embedding the Councils business continuity arrangements strengthening organisational resilience and providing expert advice to decision makers during incidents.

You will work closely with colleagues across the Council and multi-agency partners to help ensure our residents receive the help and support they need and that the Council can continue to deliver its essential services when the unexpected happens.

What were looking for

Youll be a resilience professional with a strong working knowledge of relevant legislation and good practice guidance relating to business continuity and integrated emergency management.

You will be a dynamic forward-thinking and innovative individual with the confidence to work across a large complex organisation. Youll be organised solutionsfocused and comfortable leading work that cuts across services. Youll communicate clearly build trusted relationships and know how to turn plans into action whether thats improving preparedness or supporting decisionmakers during an incident

Location

The job is primarily based at Laurence House 1 Catford Road but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis. You may also be required to work at other buildings/ locations from time to time.

Special conditions

• A business continuity emergency planning or resilience qualification or equivalent experience is required
• The role is notrequired to participate in an out of hours rota however occasional out of hours and weekend working may be required

Salary

49155 - 51228 per annum (PO3)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale) which is subject to evidential proof.
