As the Students as Partners Program Lead you will play a key role in advancing this mission by designing and delivering a dynamic program that empowers university students to inspire and support high school studentsparticularly those underrepresented in higher education.

You will lead the end-to-end delivery of the Students as Partners Program shaping how student ambassadors are recruitedtrainedand supported to deliver engaging high-qualitystudentoutreach experiences. As relatable role models these ambassadors share their stories and help high school students build confidence and better understand their pathways to university.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and support a cohort of approximately 180 University Ambassadors including contributing to recruitmentand providing ongoing coaching and guidance (this is not a day-to-day supervisory role)

  • Designdeliverand refineengaging training programs learning experiences and program initiatives

  • Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless program delivery and effective scheduling

  • Use data feedback and best practice to continuously improve program outcomes and impact

  • Contribute to innovative student-ledand co-designed initiatives across the university

Reporting to the Head of Educational Outreach and Pathways you will manage one direct report and playa central rolein strengthening UNSWs outreach and engagement through a high-impact student-led program.

About You

You are student-centred andcouldbring experience from a range of backgroundsincludingeducation workforce development communityengagementorprogram deliveryinnot-for-profit sector. We welcome diverse career pathways and value the different perspectives they bring to this role.

You have a solid foundation in facilitation peerlearningand training design and are confident building andmaintainingeffective relationships with a wide range of would also like you to bring:

  • Experience managingstudent ambassadorsvolunteersoreducational outreachprograms and delivering training or learning initiatives

  • Strong program facilitation skills with an understanding of peer-to-peer learning student mentoring and co-delivery approaches that centre lived experience

  • Excellentwritten and verbalcommunication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences and present with confidence

  • Proven ability to build positive relationships with studentsstaffand external partners

  • Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to change

  • A proactive solutions-focused mindset and a genuine passion for equity and access to education

You are adaptablecollaborativeand motivated by making a will occasionally be travellingacross Sydney and NSW (a drivers licence is desirable but not essential).The teamgenerally worksfrom home 2 days a week.

This role is a parental leave cover until July 2027.Candidates will need to havevalidworking right a valid WWCC and Police Check.
