Your work environment at EXP

In this role you will be a part of the Mining Team based in Sudbury or North Bay ON office.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• PLC Power Automation and instrumentation mining experience required.
• Responsible for meeting firms engineering quality levels of discipline on assigned projects.
• Oversees development of design concepts by Designers and ensure proper application and execution.
• Verifies Designers work quality regarding specifications reports code application submittal review equipment selection deliverables and drawings.
• Responsible for applying the EXPs risk management practices of electrical engineering.
• Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of discipline engineering.
• Encourages collaboration to seek the best solutions.
• Manages work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.
• Executes complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination.
• Perform front-end loading of Electrical systems for projects.
• Contributes to revisions of EXPs design standards and master specifications.
• Evaluates Value Engineering (cost cutting) items with respect to our level of risk.
• Edits and develops the basis of design narratives documenting the project scope.
• Develops electrical one-lines load lists area classifications etc.
• Participates in HAZOP PHA safety reviews.

What your experience looks like

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited University.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) within the province is mandatory.
• At least 6 years of experience in the mining or industrial industry.

The salary range for this role is between$90K - $119K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set depth of experience certifications and specific work location.
