Key Responsibilities

• Conduct commissioning-focused design reviews prepare test procedures and reports and oversee on-site testing
• Perform preventive maintenance emergency response equipment start-up and field modifications on UPS and critical power equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment including UPS systems batteries PDUs STSs and related power electronics
• Assist in developing Methods of Procedures (MOPs) for scheduled and emergency work
• Coordinate with technical support to resolve maintenance or operational issues
• Complete Field Service Reports promptly and provide proactive recommendations to clients
• Train periodically at company headquarters on testing equipment and system rebuilds
• Work independently from a home base with primary coverage across South Florida (Miami to West Palm Beach); occasional national travel may be required for emergencies

Qualifications

• Minimum 35 years of hands-on UPS and critical power field service experience; 10 years preferred
• OEM factory training or direct experience with Emerson/Liebert/Vertiv APC/MGE/Schneider or Eaton/Powerware/PDI
• Proficient with hand tools and test equipment for maintenance and repairs
• Strong verbal written communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently with resourcefulness and initiative
• Knowledge of equipment manufacturers specifications
• Physically capable of repeated bending and lifting up to 100 lbs
• Willingness to work nights weekends and on-call as needed
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software
• Clean driving record
• Preferred location: West Palm Beach area or anywhere within the Miami to West Palm Beach corridor

Preferred

• Prior experience with third-party UPS service providers
• Technical degree from DeVry Lincoln Tech or equivalent program
• Military veterans with electrical/mechanical systems experience are strongly encouraged to apply (Navy EMN/ETN/MMN Army Power Generation Air Force Power Production Coast Guard)

• Base Salary: $75000 $92000 depending on experience
