Senior Lab Technician Fire Assayer

Your responsibilities

• Prepare samples for fire assay analysis including crushing pulverizing and weighing.
• Perform fire assay fusions and cupellation according to established procedures.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including furnaces balances and atomic absorption spectrometers.
• Record and interpret analytical data ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality control standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher in Chemistry Metallurgy or a related scientific field preferred.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Lab Technician with specific experience in fire assay techniques.
• Proven ability to perform precise measurements and follow detailed procedures.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety practices and chemical handling.
• Experience with atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
