Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled General Ultrasound Technologist to join a community hospital setting. This role involves performing a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures for patients across all age groups from pediatrics to adults.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams
Assist with invasive procedures such as thoracentesis and paracentesis
Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for accurate diagnosis
Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
Procedures & Patient Population:
OB/GYN imaging
Abdominal ultrasound
DVT studies
Carotid imaging
Breast ultrasound
Pediatric to adult patients
Work Setting:
Outpatient environment
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience
Community hospital experience required
ARDMS certification required
BLS certification required
Active New York state license required (must be in hand at submission)
Must be willing to take call (every 3rd day after 6 PM and every 3rd weekend)
First-time travelers accepted
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with biopsies
Additional certifications such as ARRT (Sonography) RDMS (AB OB BR Peds) or RVT
