University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB (UEC) supports the universitys educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. Were responsible for business enterprises on campus including but not limited to dining bookstore convenience store and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal state and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary Staff Full Time Non-Exempt Benefited position through 6/30/2026 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds availability of work and satisfactory job performance).

Salary:$4679.91 to $5199.90 per month.

Location: CSUSB Campus.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week. Typically Monday-Friday from 8:00AM-5:00PM though some nights weekend work may be required.

Potential Summer Schedule: Monday through Thursday 7:00AM-5:30PM some evenings/weekends.

Typical Activities

Under minimal supervision of the Executive Director of Project Rebound the Housing Coordinator will work independently to:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the CSUSB Project Rebound House (PRH) ensuring a safe supportive and inclusive living environment.
  • Familiarize and enforce PRH Student License Agreement and policies and procedures in alignment with Project Rebounds goals vision and mission.
  • Provide guidance and support to PRH residents on personal academic and social matters.
  • Conduct regular house meetings and one-on-one sessions with residents to address concerns resolve conflicts and offer resources for personal growth.
  • Manage the housing application process (e.g. maintaining the PRH waiting list resident screening and intake room assignments roommate matching and coordinating move-in and move-out procedures ensuring a smooth transition for residents).
  • Maintain accurate housing records and databases including occupancy reports and house/room condition assessments.
  • Implement initiatives to foster a sense of community and belonging among residents.
  • In collaboration with the Executive Director and Program Director work to create a comprehensive schedule of activities specific to each member to include but not limited to: education employment physical/mental health personal and professional growth life skills and/or any other activities to enhance the well-being of the resident.
  • Maintain familiarity with current and new contracts to ensure compliance with funding source performance targets.
  • Ensure students are in compliance with program and residential agreements/guidelines.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students staff and guests. Support guest policy and intervene where necessary to maintain compliance.
  • Attend Project Rebound weekly staff meetings case conferences organizational gatherings retreats and conferences as requested.
  • Provide education support and referrals to residents about available support and resources if determined to be beyond the scope of the Project Rebound Supportive Housing program.
  • Handle all repairs and upkeep of the property in collaboration with ASC.
  • Coordinate after-hours service support in coordination with the Program Coordinator.
  • Serve as backup on-call at all times and assume primary on-call as needed.
  • Provide house tours for community organizations campus partners and stakeholders.
  • Keep accurate records of housing expenses and programming.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on housing operations occupancy rates and resident satisfaction for university administration and stakeholders.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on trends and advancements in student housing and residence life.
  • Submit all credit card reconciliations on time with receipts.
  • Supervise and maintain student workers time sheets who are assigned to the PRH.
  • In collaboration with the Program Director and Enrollment Specialist coordinate the new student orientation program.
  • Occasion travel to correctional institutions campuses and academic conferences.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Minimum Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences public or business administration or a job-related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum two (2) years experience in one or more of the following fields: substance abuse counseling case management life coaching/mentorship and reentry services.
  • Other:
    • Knowledge/experience in trauma-informed programming restorative justice and/or conflict resolution.
    • Success in overcoming barriers similar to those confronting the programs target population (i.e. a formerly incarcerated person) is viewed as an asset.
    • Excellent oral communication skills interpersonal skills and leadership skills.
    • Highly self-motivated and able to multitask. Strong ability to establish articulate and maintain life-affirming interpersonal boundaries.
    • Strong ability to problem solve and foster accountability within an empowerment/restorative justice framework.
    • Knowledge of local state and federal corrections systems parole probation and housing.
    • Ability to clearly accurately and effectively relay information to students university faculty staff and administrators and community members.
    • Proficiency working with computers digital communications and popular software packages.
    • Strong ability to work independently and take initiative.
    • Ability to work effectively with diverse partners in professional academic settings community-based organizations and corrections.
    • Ability to coordinate supervise and collaborate with volunteers.
    • Experience working with currently and/or formerly incarcerated individuals.
    • Must be available to travel and work some evenings and weekends.
    • Must have reliable transportation and a current California Drivers License with valid registration and insurance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree from an accredited four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences public or business administration or a job-related field.
  • Upper division or graduate course work in counseling techniques interviewing and conflict resolution.
