Cloud Network Administrator

What you will do:

The Cloud/Network Engineer will be responsible for network operations administration and engineering tasks. They will participate in the ongoing support for on-premise network systems using current and emerging technologies along with supporting the Cloud environment. Maintains overall network health and carries out network tasks based on business objectives. Responsible for administration documentation and security of network equipment. Works well with others in a team environment.

About The Role:

• Work with teams and customers to understand cloud networking requirements for upcoming projects; develop and document Wide Area Networks (WANs) / Local Area Networks (LANs)
• Create network designs implementation plans operational documentation and continual improvement of cloud network services
• Evaluate and recommend potential cloud networking solutions for inclusion into customer cloud service offerings and application migration solutions; participate in the procurement of network devices.
• Providing technical support to install and deploy new technologies as they are adopted including hardware software network communications hardware and software security products and other information technology products or services required to support the operations and maintenance environment.

This position requires full-time onsite attendance Monday through Friday in the Baltimore metropolitan area.

Basic Qualifications:

• Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Experience in Information Technology supporting complex systems and delivering reliable technical solutions across diverse environments.
• Skilled in deploying and managing cloud-based network services and monitoring tools with a focus on performance optimization security and scalability.
• Active IAT II (Security) Certification.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Minimum of 10 years with AA; Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD. Degree in one of the following fields highly desired: Information Technology Software Engineer Computer Science Data Science Information Systems or Cybersecurity. Four years of additional experiencecan be accepted in lieu of a BA/BS degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with transitioning from IPv4 to IPv6.
• Experience with Cisco Azure and AWS.
• Experience with Microsoft Visio.
• Certifications (e.g. CCNA CCNP Microsoft Azure AWS certifications).
