Experienced functional area expert with technical and/or business knowledge and functional expertise in Wealth Advisory (wealth planning) or similar area. Responsible for providing comprehensive support to stakeholders to identify and understand Wealth Advisory and overall Advisory Practice business. Works on practice oversight metrics risk and control oversight and overall fiduciary compliance. Serves as a lead consultant for designing business process solutions on large and complex projects or programs. Helps oversee the practice management and compliance for Wealth Advisory and related services to ensure these services are delivered effectively and with appropriate oversight and support all with a focus on achieving the business results.
Major Duties:
Provides support to the Wealth Advisory practice including metrics practice oversight risk and control analysis and oversight and compliance with required policies and procedures. Work closely with Trust & Advisory COO Team on risk and control issues for both Wealth advisory and core Trust practice. Helps manage conflicts issues and changes to requirements in order to ensure stakeholders and the project team are all in agreement on the solution scope.
Responsible for managing the business need refines and clarifies the definition of that need and designs and produces a solution scope that can feasibly be implemented by the business. May oversee the development of the business case including on technology and other needs.
Designs and proposes solutions which can best fit the business need identifies gaps and shortcomings in solutions and determines necessary work-around or changes to the solution
Carries out initiatives that are large in scope cross-functional and technically difficult and may involve multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues
Strategic in developing implementing and administering programs within Wealth Advisory and Trust practices. Role is focused on development and initiative management. Executes on strategic business activities that cross functional lines
Knowledge:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
In-depth knowledge of business analysis / Industry knowledge is required
Highly flexible and adaptable to change
Leadership and organizational skills are required to help determine the Business Units goals resources needed and to help assess and develop the skills of staff.
Experience:
College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required.
Demonstrates excellent experience in change initiatives with a track record of accomplishment in large complex projects.
Experience with Wealth Advisory &/or Trust practice work in a financial institution is a plus.
Salary Range:
$95600 - 162400 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension) health and welfare benefits (medical dental vision spending accounts and disability) paid time off parental and caregiver leave life & accident insurance and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
