About the Team:

The Finance & Strategy team works cross-functionally and supports growth innovation strategic initiatives and capital investments. Its a highly impactful and dynamic team that focuses on business strategy financial plans including budgets and our long-term strategic plan KPI development and management materials for our Board of Directors fundraising and corporate development activities. Relativity is looking for a Business Operations Analyst to join the Finance & Strategy team. You will report directly to the Manager of Business Operations and will have high visibility across the organization while partnering closely with Senior Leadership. You will work with a team of ambitious smart and driven people while managing a wide range of responsibilities that directly support the success and health of the business.

About the Role:

  • Work closely with multi-discipline manufacturing engineering construction facility and operations team members to process document and track invoices update project budgets and maintain forecasts.
  • Operate efficiently and effectively to support Relativitys Manufacturing strategy including developing and managing budgets analyzing financial performance while partnering with engineering program management infrastructure and operations.
  • Manage project performance by reviewing labor and materials actuals supporting analysis of actuals vs. plan schedule status cost/schedule integration and performance corrective action plans performance recovery plans and baseline planning.
  • Serve as the strategic finance business partner to Engineering Project Managers and leadership by translating business requirements into financial implications evaluating trade-offs and guiding resource allocation decisions.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner to the rest of the organization by driving key trade decisions assessing the financial and operating impact of our decisions and strategically driving the best outcome for the business.
  • Analyze complex production issues and support engineering in deriving smart and scrappy solutions to keep to production schedule cost and quality goals.
  • Support strategic initiatives including business case development capital investment analysis make vs. buy evaluations and ad-hoc financial modeling to inform critical business decisions.

About You:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics Business Administration or other related discipline and 3-5 years of experience of FP&A corporate finance or financial analysis experience preferably in aerospace technology manufacturing construction or other capital-intensive industries.
  • Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills with demonstrated ability to build complex models perform variance analysis and translate financial data into strategic insights.
  • Outstanding ability to synthesize information from large and complex data sets identify trends and anomalies and distill findings into clear actionable recommendations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - including the ability to translate complex and ambiguous engineering and production requirements into clear and actionable financial decisions.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities that can thrive in a fast-paced high-growth environment with competing priorities.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with financial planning tools (Planful Hyperion or similar) familiarity with SQL or data visualization tools (Tableau Power BI) a plus.

Nice to haves but not required:

  • Experience with manufacturing systems within the aerospace industry
  • Familiar with aerospace planning procedures and operations and safety
