What You Will Do:

• Advanced Concepts & Technology is seeking a senior engineer to report to the Manager of Advanced Concepts.

• The successful candidate will support the Advanced Concepts group in the discovery optimization and analysis of new commercial and military engine concepts

• Invent size optimize and analyze thermal management systems to support novel thermodynamic cycles and engine concepts

• This position will provide the successful candidate with the flexibility to work across commercial and military organizations and make novel discoveries to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelors degree in engineering

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in engineering; or a Masters degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; or a Ph.D. in a relevant field

• Fundamental knowledge of heat transfer; heat exchanger sizing and technology; and thermal management systems

• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Advanced degree desirable - Engineering Masters or Ph.D.

• Familiarity with commercial and/or military engine businesses

• Aero engine durability experience and knowledge of aero engine durability technologies

• Fundamental knowledge of optimization techniques and multi-disciplinary design optimization (MDO)

• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
