What Youll Do as a Highway Project Manager

• Lead the planning design and delivery of highway transportation projects from scoping through final design and construction support.
• Manage scope schedule budget and staffing to ensure successful project execution.
• Lead design strategy in collaboration with teams and clients to ensure alignment and seamless delivery.
• Ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations permitting requirements and quality standards.
• Manage risk proactively and maintain strong financial performance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients agencies and stakeholders
• Cultivate and strengthen client relationships to support successful project outcomes and repeat business.
• Oversee project billing client updates QA/QC of deliverables and project closeout.
• Support proposal development scope definition and fee estimates for new and existing clients.
• Mentor and develop junior engineering staff.

What You Bring Your Expertise as a Highway Project Manager

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
• 7 years of progressive highway design and transportation project management experience
• Demonstrated experience managing transportation projects from preliminary design through PS&E and construction support.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it
• Proficiency in MS Office programs and MicroStation (preferred)
• Proven success in developing trusted long-term client relationships
• Demonstrated experience managing NYSDOT highway design projects and federally funded transportation programs.

Salary Range $95000-$130000

Actual compensation will vary based on experience qualifications and other factors. The listed salary range does not guarantee specific pay or reflect total compensation and excludes the value of benefits.
