Qualification: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
Role Overview
The SAP PP/QM Consultant is responsible for supporting configuring and implementing SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) role involves working with business users gathering requirements performing system configuration supporting daytoday operations and participating in implementation or enhancement projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. SAP PP (Production Planning) Responsibilities
Assist in configuring PP submodules such as:
. Master Data (Material Master BOM Work Center Routing)
. MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
. Production Order Management
. Capacity Planning
. Demand Management (PIR SOP)
. Planning Strategies for MTS & MTO
. WBS BOM Management
- Support enduser issues for production planning and shop-floor processes.
- Participate in system testing (Unit Integration UAT).
- Prepare and update functional specifications for enhancements and reports.
- Support PPrelated Interfaces & IDOC.
Monitor and troubleshoot:
. Planned orders and production orders
. MRP errors/exceptions
. Confirmation issues
2. SAP QM (Quality Management) Responsibilities
Configure and support:
Different Inspection Type & Activation
Quality Inspection Lots
Results Recording & Usage Decision
Quality Certificates
Quality Notifications
Inspection Plans & MICs
- Assist in the setup and monitoring of in-process incoming and final inspections.
- Support Q-notification workflows for defects and corrective actions.
- Work with PP/MM teams on QM integration points (e.g. Procurement Production).
- Troubleshoot inspection lot QMMM QMPP issues.
Required Technical Skills
- S/4HANA skills (ECC to S/4HANA migration experience is a plus)
- Understanding of SAP PP and/or QM processes.
- End to End Configuration knowledge in at least one of the modules.
- Familiarity with integration points between PP QM MM and SD.
- Strong Knowledge of SAP Master Data:
Material Master
BOM
Routing
Inspection Plans
Basic ABAP Program Debugging Skill
Z Table Creation & Maintenance
