Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent Base Location: Frankfurt Germany

Important - Initial 6-Month Project Placement in Charleroi Belgium:

Before taking up your permanent base in Frankfurt all successful candidates will be deployed to Charleroi Belgium for the first 6 months of the project. During this period the following are fully covered by the employer:

• Accommodation: Provided and paid in full
• Travel / Flights: Return flights every 4 weeks and all project travel covered
• Daily Subsistence Allowance: A daily subsistence payment is provided to cover meals and personal expenses

After the initial 6-month period you will relocate permanently to Frankfurt Germany with your full contract benefits.

About the Role

Our client is a major player within Europes communications installation sector with branches across Europe and the Middle East. They have decades of experience delivering Telecommunications Installation Services across the Data Centre Transportation Utility Civil and Construction sectors.

We are recruiting Datacenter Technicians (Rechenzentrumstechniker) to work on large-scale datacentre projects in Frankfurt Germany. You will be responsible for the installation termination testing and dressing of fibre optic and structured copper cabling systems inside live and new-build data centres.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced cable installers fibre optic technicians telecoms engineers or electrical mates who want a permanent long-term role in the high-growth European datacentre market.

Key Responsibilities / Hauptaufgaben

• Installation and dressing of Fibre Optic cables in datacentre environments
• Installation and dressing of Copper Cabling - Cat 5e / Cat 6 / Cat 6A
• Termination and testing of fibre optic cables
• Termination and testing of copper cables (Cat 5e / Cat 6 / Cat 6A)
• Cabinet and rack installation
• Patching and labelling of fibre and copper infrastructure
• Reading and following technical design drawings and schematics
• Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety on site at all times
• Working both independently and as part of a structured project team

Ideal Candidate Profile / Ideales Kandidatenprofil

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience installing fibre optic cables
• Experience installing copper structured cabling (Cat 5e / Cat 6 / Cat 6A)
• Competence in termination and testing of fibre and copper cabling
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings and schematics
• Strong Health & Safety awareness and focus
• Good communication skills in English (additional languages an advantage)
• Competent and safe use of hand and power tools
• EU citizen - must be able to work and travel freely across the European Union
• Willingness to be based in Charleroi Belgium for the initial 6-month project period

Suitable Backgrounds Include:

• Electrical mates / Electricians
• Cable pullers / Cable installers
• Telecommunications technicians
• IT / Network technicians
• Structured cabling engineers

Qualifications (Desirable but Not Essential):

• Full Driving Licence
• Working at Heights certification (training can be provided)
• IPAF (can be provided)
• Manual Handling certificate (training can be provided)
• Valid passport - must be available to travel at short notice

• Hourly rate: Up to 19-23 per hour overtime
