Journeyman Diesel Mechanic West Chicago IL
Premier Service is a family-owned landscape construction and maintenance company proudly serving the Chicagoland area since the late 1980s. We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Diesel Mechanic to join our growing in-house shop and support our expanding fleet.
Position Summary
This role is responsible for performing diagnostics maintenance and repairs on company trucks trailers and heavy equipment to ensure safe operation and minimal downtime for our crews.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on trucks and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative services
- Complete repair orders and accurately document all work performed
- Maintain a clean organized and safe shop environment
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Fleet & Equipment
You will work on a diverse fleet including:
- Kenworth T-800
- Kenworth T-270
- Ford F-750
- Ford F-350
- Chevrolet LCF
- Isuzu NPR / NRR
- Front-end loaders
- Bobcat skid steers
- Tractor trailers
- Light-duty trucks and SUVs
Qualifications
- 5 years of mechanic experience
- Journeyman-level mechanic
- ASE certification preferred
- CDL-A preferred (not required)
- Ability to pass background and MVR checks
- No DUI or drug convictions within the last 5 years
- Must provide basic hand tools
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
