Job Summary
A Visual Mixmaster is responsible for visual storytelling excitement coherence timing pacing and scene flow in innovative content developed leveraging an state-of-the-art AI-driven platform. This role reimagines the job of Editor for an AI-augmented world and requires film editing VFX motion graphics and colorist skills to deliver compelling final picture edits for GenAI contemporary short form content (Microdramas Web Series Creator Content etc.) that meets quality standards as per JioStar guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft the final video: Use standard nonlinear editing tools colorist tools and AI tools to retime rearrange and visually polish short form content on a daily basis leveraging an understanding of the visual storytelling language of contemporary short-form content and the possibilities of AI-augmented workflows.
- AI innovation: Work with technical teams to help bring more AI capabilities into the editorial and scene finaling workflow by helping develop policies guardrails creation prompts validation prompts and agentic architectures that become force multipliers for the entire team.
- Prompt engineering: Develop and refine specific prompts for AI shot editing.
- Familiarity with filmmaking or animation: Understand traditional foundations principles and procedures of producing filmed entertainment especially serialized short form content.
- Edit and refine AI-generated content: Conduct human review and editing of AI drafts to enhance quality resulting in a compelling visual narrative for the audience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the AI Media Developers to ensure shots being generated are coherent consistent and result in a compelling visual narrative.
- Learning Agility: Proven ability to rapidly learn new technologies platforms and complex processes. Keep up-to-date with advancements in editorial AI creative tools.
Requirements
- Experience in film TV or digital video editing with a portfolio showcasing your skills.
- Proficiency in using nonlinear editing motion graphics VFX and color timing tools
- Dialog and sound editing and mixing proficiency a plus
- Generative AI content creation experience a plus
- Understanding of content production principles and workflows
- Excellent attention to detail and creativity
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and openness to feedback
