Job Summary
An elite Independent prep school in East Sussex is seeking an intellectually curious and proactive leader to join as Head of Science with a merged Teacher of Maths (Maternity Cover) responsibility. This combination creates a full-time permanent-level timetable for the 2026/27 academic year. Requirements
Essential: Significant previous experience teaching Science and Maths in a school setting.
Essential: Hold QTS or a PGCE in Secondary Education.
Essential: Must possess the Right to Work in the UK (The school cannot provide sponsorship).
Proven ability to lead a department or a desire to step into a first leadership role.
