About the Role
You will deliver Computer Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 teaching students core computing concepts such as programming algorithms data representation and cybersecurity fundamentals.
Lessons should encourage problem-solving logical thinking and digital creativity. Students are introduced to programming languages and encouraged to apply their knowledge through structured coding activities and project-based learning.
Where appropriate there may also be opportunities to contribute to Key Stage 5 teaching particularly for candidates with experience delivering A-Level Computer Science.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will involve both classroom teaching and contributing to the wider development of the subject within the school.
Daily responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering Computer Science lessons
Teaching programming concepts using structured methods
Supporting students in developing computational thinking skills
Assessing progress through coursework and formal assessment
Supporting students preparing for GCSE examinations
Maintaining classroom equipment and digital resources
You will also collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery across year groups.
