Job Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician I will complete assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs requiring conveyor mechanical plumbing electrical instrumentation HVAC and other equipment systems or structures. Ensures repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities. Responds to spills and other emergency situations performing tasks necessary. Assists in emergencies as needed.
Pay: $28.00/HR

401(k) You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions dollar for dollar for the first 3%. For the next 2% ABM contributes $0.50for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.
Essential Function:
  • 1 3 years of experience in commercial property multi-unit residential and/or related facilities maintenance role.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of the following:
  • Plumbing
  • HVAC Systems
    i.e. Filter changes
  • Refrigeration
  • Electric
    i.e. Distribution systems
  • Carpentry
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

  • The physical demands described here must be met by employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the
  • Maintenance Technician I IV roles.
  • Must possess the ability to stand climb and frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment (pumps tools ladders etc.).
  • Regularly required install/move equipment.
  • Ability to walk and transverse property to facility work.
  • Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you.
  • Ability to read and understand information presented orally and in writing.
