DescriptionPurpose of the Role
The Senior HR Advisor provides expert HR advisory support across South America managing complex employee and labour relations cases. The role partners with managers and HR Business Partners from the Business Areas to ensure compliant consistent professional and people focused HR practices.
The position sits within Global Shared Services HR a global HR function delivering operational and advisory HR services across regions and acts as a local market specialist.
Key responsibilities
Act as a trusted HR advisor to managers and employees providing guidance on people related matters HR policies processes and local labor legislation supported by a solid understanding of the business and organizational context.
Manage and advise on a broad range of employee relations cases including performance and conduct issues grievances absence management and disciplinary processes engaging external legal support where required.
Provide HR advisory support across the employee lifecycle from onboarding to exit ensuring consistent and compliant people practices.
Manage relationships and negotiations with employee representative bodies including trade unions and liaise with labor authorities and external law firms on employment related matters.
Support the business in the execution of organizational changes including restructurings reorganizations workforce adjustments and M&A activities providing guidance on process consultation requirements and timing.
Maintain update and contribute to local HR governance documents templates and policies including the Personnel Administrative Guidelines in line with regulatory and organizational changes.
Ensure compliance with local employment legislation collective agreements and internal governance applying HR policies consistently to mitigate risks and support fair and transparent people practices.
Collaborate closely with GSS HR colleagues and Centers of Expertise to deliver high quality HR services and contribute to regional and global HR initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
Use HR data market insights and benchmarks to support informed decision making including areas such as compensation and benefits.
Contribute to a collaborative and knowledge sharing HR environment that supports continuous learning and improvement.

QualificationsQualifications & Experience
Relevant university degree in Human Resources Business Administration Law or a related field
Typically 7 years of operational/generalist HR experience covering areas such as employee relations recruitment labour relations (including Union Management/Negotiation) change management compliance and compensation & benefits
Solid understanding of local labor legislation and HR best practices in Chile Brazil and or Argentina
Skills & Competencies
Strong consultative and advisory skills with the ability to influence and guide managers at all levels
Customer centric mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach and strong stakeholders management skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills comfortable handling complex or unfamiliar cases
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is required as well as Portuguese and/or Spanish proficiency.
High level of integrity professionalism and discretion
Collaborative team player with curiosity and a learning mindset
