There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.
Scope of work
Under the direction of a medical physicist and a radiation oncologist uses knowledge of treatment planning techniques and the physical characteristics of equipment utilized to accurately acquire and interpret patient data and generate/coordinate individualized treatment plans. Accurately calculates and documents treatment machine settings and parameters as required for the delivery of radiation as prescribed.
Qualifications
- Required Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a Physical/Life Science or radiation therapy program
- Required Graduate of an accredited Medical Dosimetry JRCERT accredited program of at least 12 months
- 5 years of relevant experience Radiation Oncology as a Medical Dosimetrist Required
- CRT-Medical Dosimetrist - MDCB Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board Upon Hire required
