Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician Nights (Full-Time) Location: Englewood Florida Schedule: Night Shift Full-Time Rotating Weekends
Overview: Join a dynamic clinical laboratory team as a Medical Laboratory Technician where youll play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely diagnostic results. This position requires strong analytical ability attention to detail and the confidence to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine STAT and proficiency testing within defined turnaround times
Analyze and validate patient results including performing delta checks
Maintain precise documentation and ensure prompt reporting of findings
Review pending logs and ensure smooth communication during shift handoffs
Execute quality control procedures in line with lab standards
Recognize and respond to critical values abnormal results and specimen discrepancies
Provide support in daily lab operations including covering in the absence of leadership
Adhere to all regulatory compliance and safety protocols
Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Medical Technology or related field (required)
Bachelors Degree (preferred)
At least 1 year of laboratory experience (preferred)
Active Florida State Technologist License (required)
Specialty certification in areas such as Blood Bank Serology Chemistry Hematology or Microbiology preferred (Generalist strongly preferred)
