NOTE: Need more of a hardware pm than a software PM so not the typical IT PM type role

Qualifications

Experience & Background

Senior level experience as an Engineering Project Manager

Proven delivery of large scale hardware centric engineering programs

Experience working in a true engineering development environment

Explicitly not an IT Project Manager or software only PM

Technical Foundation

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in:

o Electrical Engineering (EE)

o Mechanical Engineering (ME) or

o EE combined with Computer Science

Tools & Environment

Advanced scheduling and critical path analysis using Primavera P6

Proficiency with Excel and scheduling/planning tools

Experience with Confluence and enterprise PMO tooling

Comfortable leveraging AI tools to support planning and execution efficiency

Responsibilities

Program Execution & Delivery

Lead large complex hardware centric engineering programs from development through market release

Drive execution across engineering platforms supporting product development and commercialization

Maintain strong focus on time to market balancing speed with engineering realities

Own delivery for programs involving 50 100 engineers and $5M $30M budgets

Cross Functional Leadership

Serve as a highly visible execution leader within Engineering and the PMO

Lead large cross functional engineering teams across multiple disciplines

Navigate ambiguity shifting priorities and evolving requirements while maintaining delivery rigor

Communicate clearly with engineering leadership and key stakeholders

Planning Scheduling & Controls

Develop and manage complex multi-layer schedules and interdependencies

Perform critical path analysis for large hardware driven programs

Ensure milestone discipline driven by hardware development realities

Maintain program visibility documentation and execution artifacts

Delivery Approach

Execute within a hybrid delivery model blending Waterfall structure with Agile execution

Focus on outcomes and execution rather than rigid phase gate processes
