We are looking for a Senior Network Security Subject Matter Expert to define and manage our clients remote access strategy. This critical role is responsible for maintaining a secure and resilient VPN environment while leading the transition from legacy F5 systems toward a more modern tool-agnostic architecture. The successful candidate will act as the primary architect for edge security ensuring a seamless and secure experience for the clients remote workforce. This position offers remote flexibility with periodic travel to West Coast hubs to support site-specific security initiatives.
Responsibilities
Act as the SME for all Remote Access technologies focusing on secure VPN and edge connectivity.
Manage and optimize F5 Big-IP (LTM/APM) environments while planning for future technology migrations.
Design and implement secure tool-agnostic architectures that prioritize security over specific hardware limitations.
Troubleshoot complex security and connectivity issues within a Cisco-centric security stack.
Partner with security leadership to ensure all remote access points adhere to evolving zero-trust principles.
Qualifications
Advanced expertise in VPN technologies and Cisco security hardware.
Deep technical knowledge of F5 systems with the ability to pivot to new platforms.
Strong architectural mindset with the ability to build vendor-neutral security frameworks.
Flexibility to travel to West Coast locations for hands-on deployment and testing.
Preferred: Direct experience with Infoblox for IPAM and DNS security.
