Job Description

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

The position will be responsible for troubleshooting issues from vehicle end-of-line testing and bring-up. The candidate needs to be strong in understanding electrical systems root-cause analysis and familiarity with software-driven diagnostic testing. This position will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

At least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering troubleshooting or validation.

Strong understanding of electrical systems circuits and components.

Experience with electrical diagnostic tools (multimeter oscilloscope CAN diagnostics).

Familiarity with software diagnostic tools (command line interfaces interpreting log files).

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on root-cause analysis.

Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Strong communication and technical documentation skills.

Comfortable using standard business tools (spreadsheets email documentation tools).

Willing and able to travel for medium durations as needed.

Additional Good to have:

Experience with autonomous or electric vehicles.

Experience with prototype or early-stage development engineering projects.

Experience working in manufacturing validation or vehicle bring-up environments.

Roles & Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues on autonomous vehicles.

Perform root-cause analysis and drive issues to resolution including cross-team collaboration.

Support the bring-up and validation of autonomous vehicle systems.

Design execute and analyze electrical tests.

Develop maintain and improve electrical documentation and test procedures.

Collaborate with hardware software and systems engineers to ensure successful project execution.

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer for low-voltage vehicle platform development with a strong background in automotive systems and 12V architecture.

The ideal candidate brings expertise in power circuit design DC-DC converters battery systems and functional safety standards like ISO 26262.

Background in the automotive field.

Understanding of requirements for Level 4 low-voltage (LV) power systems; strong knowledge of 12V architectures.

Skilled in electrical and power circuit design especially crafting input stages for LV modules using 12V sources.

Familiarity with components like DC-DC converters 12V battery systems and charge management circuitry.

Exposure to functional safety frameworks particularly ISO 26262 as applied to power systems.

Capable of drafting and structuring technical requirement documents.

Able to conduct deep technical analysis and evaluate tradeoffs in engineering decisions.

Proficient in interpreting test outcomes and collaborating closely with test engineering personnel.

Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Effective team collaborator and cross-functional partner.

Proficiency in tools such as Python Matlab and SQL - hands-on experience with coding particularly in Python and Matlab environments.

along with the ability to write requirements assess tests and collaborate across teams is essential.

Pluses:

Prior collaboration with Tier 1 suppliers or OEMs on vehicle integration and automotive product development.

Ability to construct SQL queries (e.g. experience with Dremel or F1 systems).

Exposure to electrochemical principles in battery tech or experience modeling battery behavior.

Familiar with verification and validation processes specific to LV systems.

Participated in LV power budgeting efforts during vehicle program execution.
