Job Summary
Description:
Packer is an entry level role. Packers are responsible for efficiently packing bags into cases performing quality checks completing changeovers on the weigher Ishida packing overflows clearing NCC jams maintaining housekeeping and completing changeovers. Must perform regular quality checks on labels boxes code dates and seals to ensure product standards are met. Maintain a clean and safe work area adhering to safety protocols and conduct sanitation tasks as required. Execute equipment changeovers including both dry and wet cleanings. Perform manual palletizing tasks when necessary to support production needs.
Role Expectations:
Construct boxes and pack them manually or with the help of automated machines.
Support repacking cases rejected from automated machines.
Clear case jams on automated equipment and conveyors.
Palletize cases on the floor in the event of equipment downtime.
Maintain a safe/sanitary work area and clearly communicate any food safety outages
Perform any other duties assigned by a manager
Minimum Qualifications:
Able to multi-task in fast paced environment
Good communicator & teamwork skills
Able to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist
No attendance issues
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Capability to climb bend reach stoop kneel and stretch for extended periods
Capacity to repeatedly lift carry push pull and handle products
PPE -Must wear steel toe boots this is required to enter the facility.
