Summary:

• Lead and manage engineering projects of major complexity within an established scope.

• Make authoritative technical decisions and recommendations that significantly impact large-scale engineering activities.

• Apply advanced engineering principles theories and concepts based on broad expertise or specialized knowledge.

• Drive the development of innovative ideas and engineering solutions.

• Independently identify and implement improved methods and procedures to optimize product performance cost and schedule.

• Operate with consultative direction while exercising strong independent judgment to achieve objectives.

• Develop standards and guidelines for diverse engineering activities.

• Plan and lead investigations into complex high-impact areas where little or no engineering precedent exists.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related field required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the role

• 13 years of experience in a specific technical discipline or 15 years of broad engineering experience across multiple technical disciplines with a Bachelors degree

• Advanced degree credit may be applied: up to 2 years for a Masters degree and up to 4 years for a PhD in a relevant field

• Advanced degree in Engineering or a related field preferred

• Technical skill level and competencies for this role will be defined by the specific engineering discipline

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
