Summary:
Perform inspection duties using engineering drawings work orders route cards inspection travelers work instructions technical specifications QA procedures and other related documentation.
Conduct preliminary and progressive inspections of aircraft structures and systems; verify functional operations; perform final inspections; inspect for FOD; and verify documentation. Witness verify and document specified manufacturing process steps.
Perform conformity and first article inspections to ensure compliance with FAA-approved procedures.
Ensure proper use care and storage of tools and equipment.
Follow all safety protocols to protect employees and product integrity; actively participate in safety investigations; report hazards promptly; and support continuous improvement of workplace safety.
Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel.
Conduct area inspections to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
1 year of quality inspection experience or 2 years of GAC manufacturing experience required
2 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent aerospace experience preferred
Completion of a formal Inspection Training Program within 90 days required
Working knowledge of shop mathematics and blueprint reading/interpretation (CATIA experience preferred)
Proficiency in the use of basic shop tools and equipment
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
