Job Summary
Job Title: Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)
Location: Annapolis Junction MD / Reston VA / Washington DC (Onsite)
Vendor Fee: 4%
Salary: USD $166000 / yr
Role Overview: We are hiring a Senior Level ISSO to support mission-critical Modeling Simulation and Analysis (MS&A) efforts for a premier defense/government contracting client. This is a permanent onsite role requiring a high level of expertise in securing classified information systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain system integrity confidentiality and availability for classified Information Systems (IS).

Perform technical security operations: patching upgrades backups and access control management.

Lead Risk Management Framework (RMF) efforts to sustain system accreditation and Authorization to Operate (ATO).

Perform vulnerability assessments and analysis; apply STIG best practices across network and software environments.

Manage documentation (SSP RAR SCTM) within systems like eMASS.

Support security inspections audits and log generation.
Required Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 12 years of relevant experience (10 years with a Masters degree).

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Cybersecurity or related technical field.

Clearance: Active TS/SCI Security Clearance is mandatory.

Certifications: Must be compliant with DoD 8140.03 (IAM Level II or III such as CISSP or CASP).
Desired Skills:

Proficiency in ACAS Nessus SCAP and eMASS.

Background in Unix Windows or Cisco network administration.

Familiarity with Intelligence Community (IC) security standards or Special Access Programs (SAP).
