Job Title: Researcher - STL Detection

Location: Chesterfield MO 63017

Duration: 6 Months with possibility of extension

Job Type: Temporary Assignment

Work Type: Onsite

Shift: Monday Friday 2nd Shift (1pm 9pm)

*Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Taqman PCR Lab:

The candidate will primarily be responsible for manual/semi-automated PCR setup. This workflow supports the biotech and trait pipelines. Responsibilities also include activities related to preventative and autonomous maintenance and lab health activities. The candidate may also have the opportunity to cross-train in our Library Creation space that helps support Bayers accelerated breeding program.

Desired skills for the ideal candidate:
1. Demonstrate reliability: This is a business-critical position to keep our lab running 5 days a week across multiple shifts. The candidate must be a reliable presence on this shift. Position may require flexible or off shift hours during peak times.
2. High Throughput/production/sample management: Our labs process millions of samples per year with fast turn-around times. Any experience handling a large number of samples daily (lab etc.) or in a fast-paced environment (retail food service etc.) is a plus. Experience with LIMS or automation is a plus.
3. Automation/mechanical aptitude: The candidate must be comfortable running and troubleshooting automation independently. Biologists with engineering/technical/mechanical aptitudes are encouraged to apply.
