Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager (PMP Certified)
Location: Chesterfield VA (Hybrid up to 3 days onsite per week)
Duration: Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple IT projects across various business units within the county

• Manage project scope schedule cost risks and quality throughout the lifecycle

• Develop and maintain governance artifacts including project charters schedules and status reports

• Support requirements tracking and light business process definition activities

• Coordinate cross-functional teams including infrastructure security integrations GIS and application groups

• Monitor vendor deliverables and support issue resolution

• Provide reporting to executive leadership and stakeholders

• Apply PMBOK methodologies and county PMO standards

• Support testing coordination defect tracking and change management activities

• Prepare cost-benefit analyses and assist with business case documentation

• Track schedule health metrics including SPI reporting

• Ensure alignment between technical solutions and business needs

• Must pass CJIS background verification and FBI criminal background check

Required Qualifications

• Active PMP certification required (PMI)

• 10 years of experience managing enterprise-level IT projects

• Strong experience managing scope schedule budget and governance documentation

• Experience coordinating stakeholders and cross-functional technical teams

• Strong communication skills supporting technical and non-technical audiences

• Proficiency with Microsoft Project Excel Word PowerPoint and Teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within state or local government environments

• Exposure to business analysis practices and process documentation

• Familiarity with CJIS-regulated environments

• Experience supporting infrastructure cloud GIS or system integration projects
