Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Malpractice Attorney to join our Toledo office. The ideal candidate will have first-chair trial experience a deep understanding of medical-legal issues and a proven track record of handling high-stakes cases from inception through verdict.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum four years of experience handling medical malpractice defense litigation.
  • Experienced trial lawyer with regular appearances in court conferences arbitrations mediations and depositions.
  • Skilled in all aspects of litigation strategy from drafting pleadings responding to written discovery motions and discovery demands preparing motions to negotiating settlements and preparing witnesses for trial.
  • Trusted advisor to insurers and corporate clients serving as primary contact for claims professionals providing case assessments litigation plans and status reports.
  • Must be able to work independently on an assigned caseload.
  • Exceptional attention to detail strong writing and legal research skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Entrepreneurial growth mindset for client development and practice management.
  • Values collaboration and diverse perspectives and can work with a team to creatively solve problems.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active license in good standing with the State Bar.
  • Minimum four years of litigation experience.
  • First-chair trial experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure cases and manage complex litigation matters.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to client service and ethical legal practice.
  • Exceptional attention to detail strong writing and legal research skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Entrepreneurial growth mindset for client development and practice management.
