Job Summary
Job Summary (List Format):
- Duration: Possible temp-to-hire; may extend
- Location: Freeport TX 100% onsite
- Shift: Monday Thursday 10-hour days; possible overtime and on-call
- Education: High School diploma or GED with Journeyman Certification in a traditional craft discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Experience: 5 years in Maintenance or equivalent Construction with troubleshooting/diagnostic experience
- Certification: Respirator fit test required
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in Mechanical Civil or Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) disciplines
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and product quality
- Troubleshoot repair rebuild or replace failing equipment as needed
- Document maintenance activities and conditions for historical records
- Provide technical assistance and participate in training efforts
- Maintain high safety standards and promote safety behaviors (PPE SHE rules client Saving Rules)
- Support and follow quality procedures management directives and improvement projects
- Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Support plant and corporate initiatives following Manufex work processes
- Maintain required training and certifications
- Provide contractor oversight as needed
- Perform tasks independently and within a team environment
Physical & Work Requirements:
- Work at elevated heights using ladders scaffolding and personnel lifts
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. squatting kneeling and bending for extended periods
- Operate golf/work carts with tools and materials
- Flexible for overtime high-priority and diverse tasks
- Able to work with limited supervision in a highly automated facility
Authorities:
- Authorized to stop work and escalate issues in case of safety or quality concerns
- Calibrate repair or rebuild equipment to design specifications
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a respirator fit test and drug screen
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required
- On-call availability per site schedule
