Position: Java Functional Architect w/ Healthcare domain (Onsite)
Location: Dublin OH (Relocation yes)
Duration : 6 months
Job Description:
A Java Functional Architect in the healthcare domain designs and leads the implementation of Java-based systems focused on business functionality ensuring alignment with healthcare standards like FHIR HL7 HIPAA and EMR platforms such as Epic or Cerner.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate healthcare business needs (e.g. patient data billing claims interoperability) into scalable Java architectures using Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Lead design of secure compliant systems with real-time data processing performance optimization and integration testing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders conduct code reviews troubleshoot bottlenecks and ensure regulatory compliance (HIPAA/GDPR).
Required Skills:
- Expertise in Core Java Spring Boot microservices and healthcare protocols (FHIR/HL7); experience with AWS or cloud services is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture patterns MVC design principles and tools like Angular for full-stack elements.
- 10 years in Java development with 5 in healthcare domain; excellent communication and leadership skills.
