Job Summary
Job Summary (List Format): Technical Architect Appian
- Lead the design implementation and optimization of enterprise-wide low-code workflow and automation solutions using Appian.
- Set and maintain architectural standards design patterns and best practices for Appian and other workflow platforms.
- Collaborate with internal architects to modernize and optimize payment and client inquiry workflows.
- Design scalable secure maintainable and reusable Appian solutions for strategic business initiatives.
- Assess and recommend appropriate use cases for Appian versus traditional custom-code development.
- Contribute to and help develop the Appian Center of Excellence (CoE) focusing on governance performance and reusability.
- Integrate complementary workflow technologies (e.g. JBPM Drools PowerFlow Camunda) as needed.
- Work cross-functionally with product management infrastructure security and data engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Support CI/CD pipelines DevSecOps practices and automated testing for Appian solutions.
- Participate in Architecture Review Boards (ARBs) SAFe PI Planning and other agile development activities.
- Provide technical mentorship conduct code/design reviews and foster a culture of engineering excellence.
- Contribute to strategic roadmaps and architectural decisions supporting broader business goals.
- Maintain expertise in Appian Expression Language (AEL) database design caching strategies and application security best practices.
- Stay current on Appian plugins RPA Data Fabric DevOps toolchain and AI capabilities.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Preferred: Appian Senior Developer certification healthcare IT background experience establishing Appian CoE and advocating low-code strategies in an enterprise environment.
