JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an *experienced Project Manager* to lead the *end to end delivery of an AWS WorkSpaces / WorkSpaces Applications implementation* for a global enterprise environment.
The engagement focuses on delivering *secure scalable and compliant virtual desktop services* supporting *engineering and knowledge worker use cases* including *GPU accelerated workloads* integration with enterprise identity security and operations frameworks and coordination across multiple regions (APAC EMEA Americas).
Required Experience & Qualifications*
*Must Have*
* *5 years of experience* as an IT Project Manager delivering complex infrastructure or cloud programs
* Proven experience managing *AWS based initiatives* preferably:
* Virtual desktops (AWS WorkSpaces AppStream or similar)
* End user computing platforms
* Strong experience in *multi stakeholder global enterprise environments*
*Highly Desirable*
* Experience with:
* Engineering or CAD focused virtual desktop environments
* GPU workloads in cloud environments
* Regulated or enterprise IT environments (security audit data residency)
Familiarity with:
* Agile / hybrid delivery models
* Cloud governance and cost management concepts
* Project Management certification (PMP PRINCE2 or equivalent)
*Key Objectives of the Role*
* Drive *successful planning execution and delivery* of the AWS WorkSpaces program
* Align *business IT security and vendor stakeholders*
* Ensure *on time on budget delivery* while managing risks dependencies and compliance requirements
* Establish *transparent governance reporting and decision processes*
*Technical Coordination (Hands On PM Not Architect)*
* Act as the *primary interface between business stakeholders and technical teams* including:
* Cloud engineering
* Infrastructure & networking
* Identity & access management
* Security & compliance
* End user computing / workplace teams
* Coordinate delivery across:
* AWS WorkSpaces / WorkSpaces Applications
* Active Directory / identity integration
* Networking (VPC connectivity latency considerations)
* Image lifecycle management and automation pipelines
* Track and manage dependencies related to:
* Antivirus and endpoint security integration
* CMDB and asset management expectations
* Monitoring and operational readiness
*Vendor & Partner Management*
* Manage one or more *external delivery partners*
* Review and govern:
* Delivery plans
* Resource assignments
* Change requests
* Ensure vendors deliver *according to agreed scope quality and timelines*
* Facilitate workshops deep dives and design review sessions
*Risk Issue & Compliance Management*
* Proactively identify and manage:
* Technical risks (performance scalability security constraints)
* Organizational risks (ownership gaps readiness)
* Compliance risks (data residency audit regulatory)
* Maintain a *formal risk & issue log*
* Drive mitigation actions and escalate when required
* Ensure traceability of decisions and deviation
*Operational Readiness & Handover*
* Coordinate readiness for:
* Pilot rollout
* Production go live
* Support model and operational ownership
* Ensure delivery of:
* Documentation
* Knowledge transfer
* Training materials (if applicable)
* Support transition to *steady state operations*
* Demonstrated ability to:
* Manage cross functional technical teams
* Work with security compliance and enterprise architecture groups
* Lead external vendors accountably
* Excellent *communication facilitation and documentation skills*
