About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and compassionateUltrasound Clinical Assistantto support our sonography team in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and takes pride in providing exceptional patient care.
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the ultrasound service by preparing rooms and equipment assisting and coordinating clinical staff and supporting patients throughout their visit.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients attending ultrasound appointments
- Provide clear instructions to patients before and after examinations
- Prepare ultrasound rooms and equipment to support efficient workflow
- Maintain a clean organised and safe clinical environment
- Assist sonographers and Radiologists during procedures as required
- Support patient flow to ensure appointment schedules run smoothly
- Assist with administrative tasks and documentation
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to infection control and safety standards
Essential Criteria
- Experience working in a healthcare medical or customer service environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Professional compassionate and patient-focused approach
- Reliable flexible and able to manage competing priorities
- Basic computer skills
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in ultrasound radiology or diagnostic imaging
- Certificate III or IV in Health Services Assistance Medical Administration or similar
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment
