Job Summary
JD
Responsible for the end-to-end management of Raw Materials (RM) and Packaging Materials (PM) including procurement planning inventory control vendor coordination and ensuring uninterrupted supply to the production line at optimal costs.
Key Responsibilities
Material Planning (MRP): Analyze production plans to determine RM/PM requirements create purchase requisitions and maintain minimum/maximum stock levels.
Procurement & Vendor Coordination: Follow up with vendors for timely delivery based on POs expedite critical shortages and negotiate vendor lead times.
Inventory Control (Stores): Ensure accurate physical verification (100% compliance) vs. records implement FIFO/FEFO and manage warehouse space.
Quality Coordination: Coordinate with QC/QA for sampling inspection and timely release of incoming materials.
Documentation & System Update: Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP (SAP/Tally) manage GRN (Goods Received Note) and handle vendor bill verification.
Cost Management: Minimize wastage optimize inventory holding costs and support cost-saving initiatives.
