Thrift Store Associate

The Sales Associate will be responsible to perform a wide variety of duties in the store and the production area. They will maintain order create and sustain a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships.

• Provide courteous efficient service to all customers and donors.
• Assist with daily store operations including cashiering stocking sorting pricing and sales floor upkeep.
• Handle donations with care ensuring items are sorted tagged and placed on the sales floor in proper categories and color order.
• Maintain merchandise displays and follow the rag-out calendar to rotate stock.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining a safe clutter-free store environment.
• Follow all cash handling security and operational procedures.
• Report theft customer concerns injuries or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
• Provide guidance to community service workers and volunteers as directed by the Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager Warehouse Supervisor or Corps Officer.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma preferred

SKILLS AND COMPETENICIES

• Ability to follow instructions work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift carry and move donations and merchandise as required.
• Flexibility to assist across store functions (cashier sorting stocking cleaning).
