Successful candidates will contribute to sustainable farming practices and high-quality organic crop Details:Wage: $27.00 per hourHours: 40 hours per weekEmployment Type: Permanent Full-timeSchedule: Early morning morning day evening and weekend shifts as requiredStart Date: As soon as possibleVacancies: 1Work Location: On site (no remote work option)Key Responsibilities:Plan and monitor crop growth considering factors such as water saturation light and temperatureSupervise and coordinate the activities of 510 farm workers and harvesting labourersOrganize and prioritize daily farming operations to meet production goalsAssist in developing and enforcing farm safety and bio-security proceduresMaintain accurate financial production and quality control recordsOversee crop production including vertical farming systemsSort and grade harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable categoriesOperate and maintain farm machinery and equipmentHire Train schedule and support farm staffPerform general farm duties as requiredQualifications:3 to less than 5 years of experience in a similar agricultural roleCompletion of Secondary School requiredAbility to communicate in EnglishStrong organizational skills and ability to work in a team environmentExperience with equipment such as forklifts loaders skid steers farm trucks and hand tools is an assetWork Environment & Conditions:This role is based on a rural organic farm and involves exposure to a variety of environmental conditions including heat cold dust moisture odours and confined spaces.
