As a Pathologist at 77 Consultants you will play a critical role in diagnosing diseases through laboratory analysis contributing to patient care and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses. Your expertise will help guide treatment decisions and improve patient outcomes making a significant impact on our communitys health.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic examinations on tissue samples and bodily fluids
Collaborate with clinical staff to provide accurate diagnoses
Interpret laboratory results and communicate findings to physicians
Participate in tumor board meetings and case discussions
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Contribute to research projects and clinical trials as needed
Provide education and training to medical staff and students
Stay updated on advancements in pathology and medical practices
Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Valid medical license to practice in Florida
Completion of residency in Pathology
Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Commitment to continuing education and professional development
Schedule:
Frozen call 1-2 weeks per year Friday 5:30p-Friday 7:30a
Annual Volume: 8200 cases
Caseload: 90% clinical 10% administrative
Overseeing a team of 10-11 breast pathologists
No autopsies or pediatrics
Interest in research is a plus
EMR: Cerner moving to Epic Beaker
Must be breast fellowship trained
Must be board-certified
