Job Summary

**Job Description:**

The position involves delivering comprehensive outpatient primary care to a diverse patient demographic encompassing all age groups.

The candidate will be an integral part of a physician-led care team maintaining a structured 40-hour work week with 34 hours allocated to direct patient care.

Key responsibilities include participation in a light on-call schedule providing phone-only support supplemented by RN triage.

Candidates will also engage in telemedicine for designated weekend hours every few months.

Collaboration with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) is expected along with the potential for enhanced compensation.

Teaching opportunities are available for medical students as well as Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Physician Assistant (PA) students.

Documentation and patient records will be managed using the EPIC EMR system.

The typical patient load is approximately 18-24 patients per day.

There are optional pathways available in hospital medicine or in administrative leadership roles.

The role requires adherence to all necessary certifications and licensure including Board Certification in Family Medicine which must be obtained within five years of eligibility. Candidates who are truly board eligible should provide:

- The timeline of their eligibility (1-5 years)

- Willingness to consider positions up to two years prior to graduation

- Expectations for board certification attainment (e.g. within three years)

An active New York State medical license is required (or a commitment to obtain one).

Additionally candidates must possess DEA and ACLS certifications by their start date and submit a recent NPDB Self Query Report within 30 days of application.

Candidates must express a strong commitment to full-time work with a preference for a 4- or 5-day schedule and demonstrate a passionate interest in delivering primary care services across all age groups.

**Certification Requirements:**

- Current ACLS certification (AHA)

- Board Certified or Board Eligible

- DEA registration

- New York State medical license
