Physician Family Medicine

**Job Description:**

We are seeking a primary care physician to provide comprehensive services across the lifespan catering to patients from pediatrics to geriatrics.

The responsibilities include management of chronic diseases acute care and injuries.

Candidates will conduct routine examinations cancer screenings administer immunizations and provide lifestyle counseling.

This position involves close collaboration with an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) participation in a light call rotation alongside RN triage and integration within a hospital-affiliated healthcare system governed by experienced physician leadership.

There is an option to engage in the education of first-year medical students and to serve as a preceptor for Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Physician Assistant (PA) students.

Opportunities are available for involvement in hospital medicine as well as pursuing leadership and administrative roles. We offer flexible scheduling; however we prefer candidates who are open to a full-time outpatient-focused practice with a shared call arrangement. A long-term commitment to the practice is highly encouraged.

Candidates should be available to start as soon as credentialing is completed. The ideal applicant will be Board Certified in Family Medicine or dual Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

If the candidate is board eligible please indicate the timeframe since eligibility (1-5 years) and how far in advance of graduation they are willing to consider (1 year 2 years etc.).

Include any expectations for timeline to achieve Board Certification (e.g. within 3 years).

Candidates must possess an active New York State license (or be willing to obtain one) a minimum of one year of primary care experience and a clean record regarding malpractice and licensing.

A recent NPDB Self Query Report (within the last 30 days) is required for submission.

**Certification Requirements:**- ACLS Certification- Board Certified or Board Eligible

- DEA Registration- Current State License Requirements: New York

- Additional Licensing: Board Certification in Family Medicine or dual Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics required.
