**Mammography Technologist Position Overview**
The Mammography Technologist is responsible for conducting a range of mammographic examinations employing advanced principles theories and techniques in mammography imaging to deliver accurate and dependable diagnostic results.

- Proficient in utilizing personal computers and relevant software applications integral to the role.- Skilled in operating standard office equipment related to imaging services.
- Capable of effectively communicating and collaborating across departments and with diverse patient populations.
- Maintains strict adherence to confidentiality protocols and demonstrates sound independent judgment with minimal oversight.
- Consistently maintains punctual and reliable attendance at designated work locations.
**Educational Qualifications and Certifications**
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Active certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in both Radiography and Mammography.
- Valid Oregon state license for radiologic practice.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Completion of the Image Wisely pledge certificate within 30 days of employment and annually thereafter by January 30.
- Completion of the Image Gently pledge certificate within 30 days of employment and annually thereafter by January 30.
- Candidates possessing an Associates or Bachelors degree are preferred.
**Professional Experience**
- A minimum of one year of demonstrated experience in mammography is required.
- Experience with stereo biopsy procedures is preferred.
**Certification and Licensing**
- Mandatory: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- State Licensing: Must possess a valid Oregon license for practice.
