This full-time on-site position is based in Grand Rapids offering a unique opportunity to join a dedicated team in the Medical Practice industry.
In this role you will be integral to providing exceptional anesthesia care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures. Your expertise will help ensure safe and effective anesthesia management in a fast-paced environment contributing to improved patient outcomes and enhanced surgical experiences.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing cardiac surgeries
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes during procedures
- Collaborate with surgical teams to develop anesthesia plans
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and consultations
- Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management
- Educate patients and families on anesthesia processes and safety
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
- Stay current with advances in anesthesiology practices and technologies
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Anesthesiology
- Experience in Cardiac Anesthesiology preferred
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
- Current state medical license and DEA registration
Schedule: 4x 10-hour shifts per week
1:5 call rotation
Annual Volumes: 2200 cardiothoracic procedures 30 LVAD implantations 50 heart transplants 50 lung transplants
Diverse cardiothoracic and vascular caseload
Care team model
Will also cover cases independently
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Compensation & Benefits:
$670K total earnings annually
$100K sign-on bonus
