Yard Helper

CDL carrier preferable endorsements optional. This individual will be pulling buses in and out of the yard onto Webster Avenue.

Flexible hours split shift 4:30-7:30 AM & 3:00-7:00 PM. The yard worker should be responsible for maintaining the organization of the yard. Willingness to adapt to changes as we are going towards a better structure path. With the assistance of Fleet create designated areas for out of service vehicles and others.

Ensure buses leave the year in a prearranged pattern. Earlier routes to exit first then consequently. Must check that drivers are completing their pre-trip inspection and DVIR. (Start the fleet earlier during the winter months ensure all buses returning must to the yard during the evenings have a full gas tank or close to. Report and follow issues safety concerns.

Ability to stand walk and bend for extended periods of time Ability to work in all weather conditions. Outdoor work environment. Noisy and dusty conditions & Snow Removal. Ensure Bus keys are sorted and safely kept. (Buses parked outside keys must remain at Dispatch when buses are not in use). Must wear uniform and identifiable gear. (Reflective vest Steel toe shoe).

This individual must always maintain proper communication & professionalism in the yard and outside the yard as he/she will always interact with bus drivers/attendants. Will work closely with the Fleet & the Shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.

Hourly Compensation: $21.00 per hour
