Software Engineer III AWS Cloud Engineer

As a Cloud Software Engineer III - Terraform / Golang / AWS at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Bank you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for devising critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

• Develops reusable Terraform templates and modules that abstract AWS complexity allowing teams to provision infrastructure across all AWS components without requiring deep service-specific expertise
• Designs and implements infrastructure-as-code solutions that ensure consistency security and compliance across multiple AWS accounts and environments
• Troubleshoots complex infrastructure deployment issues and optimize existing Terraform configurations for performance and reliability
• Executes software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or breakdown technical problems

• Implements scalable cloud native software solutions using modern technology stacks to deliver highly available performant and resilient products

• Creates automation workflows that validate and deploy Terraform templates through CI/CD pipelines

• Collaborates with application teams to understand their infrastructure needs and translate them into standardized Terraform modules

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience in system design infrastructure as code tooling (Terraform and such) testing and operational stability
• Experience with AWS / Cloud Provider services
• Experience working in a Cloud Native environment
• Experience in developing debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
• Demonstrated knowledge of software design principles and patterns as wells as experience implementing solutions using various software architectures such as modular monoliths and micro-services

• Excellent problem solving analytical and communication skills
